These burgers are sold as quick fry, they come in a pack of 6 with a 2 for €10 offer, so they represent not only great taste but excellent value.
However, in this house, slow grilled is preferred approx 20+ minutes for taste (read the cooking instructions for recommened cooking times).
This also seems to stop them shrinking too much and losing shape. They also keep their size and shape really well. They are not too thick but thick enough, so work well as a single burger for a child, but if you are very hungry they are perfect as double burger servings.
Bun That!
There is a wide variety of burger buns or bap options in any DUNNES STORES and this time round it will be the very tasty Floury White baps from DUNNES own brand (on the “WOW!” special offer of 3 for €3).
A really highly versatile bap which can be used for burgers or as a deadly grab n’go sambo option for school, work or a family trip out – The soft texture adds to the yum factor to overall ease of this delicious bap.
It would be very nice to have more photos of the finished product but the hunger was great and the burger too delicious to wait, they were devoured. 😋
These burgers were kept relatively uncomplicated, but other readily available ingredients sourced from DUNNES STORES were used to complete this meal, especially the own brand DUNNES Light Mayonnaise to top off the top bap, bought not for reduce calories but for taste (with the apparently lower rapeseed content compared to the full fat).
The completed burgers were also topped of with a sprinkle of BBQ spices, DUNNES grated Mozzarella cheese and “red sauce” (or Tomato ketchup as it’s known in the US), again all of this was sourced form the weekly DUNNES shop.

Cost Per Finished Serving = €1.15
Without being too rigours it is estimated the average cost of each burger serving is approx. €1.15
For a family of four that’s four burgers for less than a fiver!
